2. Request your absentee ballot
Many states, but not all, offer online absentee ballot requests. See specific requirements by selecting your home state below, scrolling down, and selecting "Absentee Ballot Process" from the menu on the left.
3. Submit your absentee ballot request online or by mail. In some cases, you will need to print out your state's form and mail it.
Most college libraries have a printer you can access with your student ID
You can get a stamped envelope at your local post office for around $1: https://tools.usps.com/locations/home.htm
You may also be able to buy an envelope and stamp at your campus mail center.
4. Once your ballot arrives, complete it, carefully following the included instructions. Your ballot may need to be notarized or signed by witness(es).
5. Submit your ballot by mail. Make note of the postmark/receipt deadline (and keep in mind that the postmark may be delayed if your ballot is first routed to a mail distribution center). You may be required to pay postage to return your completed ballot, though some states' ballots will include prepaid postage. Find your local post office here: https://tools.usps.com/locations/home.htm, or ask at your campus mail center.
6. Track your ballot (optional) here: https://www.vote.org/ballot-tracker-tools/
